Welcome
Welcome to your AI-literacy course
This short learning journey helps you use AI critically, responsibly, and transparently in your graduation work. You will complete a self-evaluation, watch three short videos, reason with an AI tutor, and practise ethical decisions. Please use fictional examples and never enter identifiable or confidential information.

Before learning
AI-literacy pre-test
Rate your current skills from 1 (strongly disagree) to 5 (strongly agree). There are no right or wrong answers.
Now that you have recorded your starting point, begin with the foundations: what generative AI can do, what it cannot guarantee, and why your judgment remains essential.
Chapter 1 · Theory
AI Foundations
With the foundations in place, move from understanding AI to questioning it. Watch the video, then work through all seven critical-thinking steps with the tutor.
Chapter 2 · Theory and participation
Critical AI Research
Why you are doing this activity
Turn a quick AI-supported choice into a defensible decision
AI can produce a confident answer before you have examined the evidence, alternatives, risks, or people affected. The seven-step tutor helps you slow the process down and make your own reasoning visible.
Use a fictionalised research or design decision from a graduation project. The tutor will help you frame the decision, identify evidence and unknowns, compare AI and non-AI options, examine risks, form a provisional conclusion, design an independent check, and document your final human decision.
The tutor does not decide for you. Its purpose is to ask critical questions so that you can explain and defend your own judgment. Complete all seven short steps before continuing.
Critical research decisions also have ethical consequences. Apply your reasoning to privacy, consent, intellectual property, transparency, and human accountability.
Chapter 3 · Theory and participation
Ethical AI Decisions
You have completed the three learning chapters. Finish by reflecting on the same skills you rated at the beginning.
